Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Ok, so I'm a little late with all three.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, a fabulous Christmas and rang in the New Year in style!  I enjoyed a good-sized break from the blogging while I focused on family and the holidays.

My Thanksgiving was incredible.  I have a sister on either coast and my mother lives in Florida, while I've stayed behind in the midwest.  We are close but don't see each other in person often.  And we almost never all four get together in person.  This year my mother's 70th birthday was on Thanksgiving day, so my sisters, their families, Mom and me and J all got together in one place for several days at Turkey Time.  I couldn't believe it had been over 15 years since we'd all been togther.  It was so wonderful!  We're planning on yearly get-togethers now, there is no way we're going to let another 15 years pass before we have that much fun again.

Christmas was busy but so fun.  We actually just had our last Christmas event this weekend.  And I had a quiet New Year's Eve because I was on-call for some work obligations, but I had a nice evening at home with J and here we are now in 2012.

Did anyone else have a big family reunion over the holidays?  What are you looking forward to in 2012?
