This is an open letter to the person who turned my bumper into a big grey hangnail and didn’t bother to leave a note.
My boyfriend gave me that car for Christmas this year. He surprised me with it at the end of October so that I would be used to driving it before winter came and the roads got bad. We are not frivolous people. We were a one-car family for over a year in order to save money. That car was the most amazing present and surprise anyone ever gave me.
You apparently ran into my car when I was at the gym, working my hiney off. Were you oblivious to the fact that you rammed my bumper? Then you are a hazard. Did you not have car insurance or a license? Then you are breaking the law. Did you just not want to leave a note because you didn’t want to deal with it? Then you are selfish, lazy and cowardly.
No matter the reason, you are a hazard. Ride the bus. Do us all a favor and stay off the roads before you damage more property or heaven forbid, hurt someone.
Sincerely,
Liz

thanks :) i'm guessing it's probably less than my deductible... i'll probably get an estimate and see after the roads get better.
what a way to start the year off! I wonder if that person uses the same gym and has a scratched-up bumper on his/her car.
Sorry to hear about that, especially with a sentimental gift.
Oh that's just lousy. If you find the creep, let me know. I'm in the mood to pound something (someONE will also do.) :)
WOW that letter was way nicer then I would have been! What a JERK!
thank you guys! bf has been making some calls and it sounds like it will not be too expensive to fix. at least it's just cosmetic.
